Note the two men on the right wearing straps under their knees 'Bowyangs' this was usually done to stop rats running up their kecks

As a heavy good fitter Mac had a pair of steel toe capped boots,they had been in the shed for a while,he he checked them so he could wear on the allotment field mice had made a lovely warm nest in one boots

That's brilliant Ronnie! I wish they could know that they waved to us, all these years on!

Mentioning the rats reminded me of my Dad telling me that down pit, they had to hang their snap from the roof, to stop the mice eating it!

When my son was about 6 year old he asked me to save some of his dad old clothes,for him to wear when he started work,I told him No you will get a nice clean job,9am to 6 pm,no being called out in the middle of the night,

most stupid thing I ever saw,2 men digging up the pavement,who had on the yellow are hats, the 2 office staff,
