Benefit of where worked for

Young man on TV said pensions are a benefit paid for by people working,I and my late husband worked all are lives,he died before being able to claim a pension,Didnt say if he had a job or had ever worked

Although, I object to them now calling our pension 'a benefit'. It's a paid for entitlement!

It’s just a technicality. The money comes from current taxes so the claim is true, but of course when you were working you paid for the pensions of people older than you who had retired.

What goes around comes around!
