Clootie dumpling, didnt you post about this some time ago,it was kept covered with a cloth near the fire,cannot remember if that was before or after it was cooked,

Yes, Norma - After it was cooked, it lay on my hearth in front of the fire in a muslin cloth to form a skin

It was a lady I knew who made the clootie dumpling.

I could never eat it, far too rich, killed me with indigestion.
