The Mission Lighthouse Dining Rooms 125 Linacre Road

The dining rooms opened in 1903 and were owned and run by Linacre Mission in their support of the Abstinence Movement - It stood on the corner of Hartwell Street.

The block from Hartwell St. to Towcester St. was purchased by the Mission and demolished for the building of The Wesleyan Sunday School.

Older Litherlandites will remember it became Blundell's Bra Factory (especially Obie)

Yes Ronnie, I spent many a happy hour loitering around the Bra factory. It was an up lifting experience.

Would that be where they had the Robins breakfasts,the one my Mums youngest brother got into trouble with,for going there with his friends,his father said taking food from poor children,
