She had striking red hair which is what first caught my grandads attention. I have had a little play with the image you created to alter the hair colour.
She had 3 children, obviously including my mother now deceased, but also a son who is still alive and living in Canada. He is 96 and going strong. I’ve emailed him a copy and it will be the first colour photograph he has seen of his mother - she died in 1960.
A good days work!

Lovely photo, only one of my cousins had red hair well pale red,My husband brother has strong red hair,Are there more people from Scotland with red hair, down the ages from the Vikings,
One of her daughters had red hair as do her three children, my mother didn’t and none of her seven kids did. That’s genetics for you!
One little mystery it reveals is the sweetheart brooch at her neck. It pre-dates meeting my grandad and doesn’t seem to match any of the local regiments as far as I can tell.
