The last time I was down, that sign couldn't be read, it was that dirty.
The cut was frozen over too in 2010 when I was down for Christmas.

Hi Ronnie my last winter was Christmas 1999, we were staying in Formby, think it started snowing Christmas Eve, this pleased our grand kids, this meant sliding down the snowy hills at the beach for them. There was 8 of us and were set to drive to London for new year but went by train, the trip was very good, but I swore not to go again in the winter. Cheers

My brother came to visit us from Oz (Perth) in 1980 with his two kids, Bob.
We'd had a heavy snowfall before he came, so I made two snowballs and put then in the freezer for them, the looks on their faces when I gave them them to throw
His kids couldn't get over the open fire in the house, they sat in front of it staring at it
