My Late Gran loved the Park moved from 91 Sefton rd to Hatton Hill as a child it was the goldan privet hedge ,i rememberd more that the house number ps i do remember the number,

We were waiting to go two HK 2 years in the heat,The flat had a large garden,with a little patch of grass,made me homesick when they cut the grass,the smellof cut grass,I had a tin on the balcony of garden Mint,

Expect that has changed because Councils don't have the money now or waste it on other things.

The paerk looks nothing like this now unfortunately, no ranger to take care of it. If we have one down this end he probably has all the Bootle and Litherland Parks so won't be able to give them much attention. If you follow Litherland History on Facebook you will see some of the Park photos from before and after Sefdton council took over. Some of the parks have volunteers looking after them and also a lot of litter picking is done by volunteers

We have a lovely mock cherry tree outside my gate,one little boy will clime to the top without any damage,others kid just pull the branches dowm,they seemmto make sure there parentscannot see them I just give up

Wow, Ronnie a stark contrast to how it looks today, lovely photo, thanks Ronnie. I agree with John R councils priorities are different these days.

The priorities are certainly not for your neck of the woods, Alan.

I would love to see a breakdown of the expenditure for Southport compared to the South Sefton area .
