Well Ronnie! I've been told it not her!!! My Auntie did do a stint at the Sausage Works and this lady is so like her!! Not sure she would have been into bowling! Her real claim to fame though,is being the lady on the bike in the lift bridge scene in Z Cars!!

My Mum and her mate were there when the filming was going on, they were going around to Sefton Street to get the bus - They spoke to James Ellis (Bert Lynch) he was having a fag during a break in the filming.

When i worked at Butlins coffee bar Jimmy Tarbrook was a red coat and worked in the theater, staff were not really allowed in the theater we would sneak in,One very overweight red coat who thought it was funny would hold up a pair of stocking,if he saw us,and say You left those last night,silly camper would laugh,n the coffee bar collect cups he would grab you arm,and try to start kissing it,we soon learts to get behind the counter,One night a camper came in late loaded her tray ,but the casher had left,she took her anger out on us thowing rolls and cake,

We had a christmas party think we paid a so much a week for Food and drink,but couldnt have a drink if you were under 18 years of age,Is Baby sham drink,what was the other one,

If you google Babycham and Cherry B you will find both of the fancy glasses for sale, a good price for a glass from the 1960s/70's.

My dad didn’t drink, but when he came home on winter nights on his bike frozen from working on ship repairs he would have a cup of tea with rum in it.

My Dad joined the Royal Marines at 17, I think hecouldn't have his rum ration until he was 20, he was given thruppence per day in lieu, so were anyone else who didn't want the daily rum tot.

When he turned 20 the other marines in his mess gave him a sip from their ration, this was called 'Sippers' and there were also 'Gulpers' when you took a gulp instead of a sip - Great traditions in are Royal Navy.

Ronnie One of the people I looked after was from an island ,he had joined the british navy as a young man,He ws in his ninties,couldnt sleep if he didnt have his tot of rum,his son got it for him,I had to get the bottle filled with sherry,from for the local shop,for his wife,he lost half his little finger when at sea,when i cut his fingr nail,he would still hold that finger out,When I started going ther his wife told me he blind and deaf so just ignore him,soon found out that wasnt true,he had soon great tales to tell.near india
