Surprised there are so many children in Litherland,but then familys were larger,ater WW2 my Mum brothers and sister limited there family to 2 or 3 children,my dad mum had 6 children Mums mother had 8,and babies that died,

I’m one of 7 Norma but my ancestors had 10 or more in many cases, not counting all the poor babies that died.

My gran nearly died when my Mum was born,and there was talk of Little Jonney,poor women going threw childbirth,not much help with the pain,I had a Chinese midwife she gave me an injection of pethidine,
