If any of the youngsters shown in the photo are stll alive, they would be 95+

We celebrated Empire Day at Lander Road School in the 1950s - I always remembered the event as it was the day after my birthday.

I have several photos of Walter at Lander Road and Beach Road Schools.

Most of my friend went to Beach road school then on to the cennie,or waterloo park grammer school,I was EM fro 5 till I left few day after my 15 birthday y
I left just before Christmas, Just missed going to St Wilfred so that school opened in 1954,

Ronnie it was a Incendiary bomb that hitare house 75 sefton rd,my Uncle Jim was home on leave and use earth from the front garden to put the fire out,there was a mark on the bedroom ceiling,still there when we moved about 1953 or 4,the german map had are row of house down as a tannery,must have been an old map,My mum remembered a tannery being there when she was a child,
