Finally got around to ordering the book on Kindle. Only 99p.
What an excellent read. Didn't take long though. Reminded me of my youth!!
Would highly recommend the book.

I felt the same thought it would have been much longer, great book,I was there back in my Litherland, it been so quiet I was starting to thinkthe north of england had been swept away,my neighbour told me we had a heavy downpour here last night about tea time,i missed it

In too read the book on Kindle and loved it. It was written with children in mind so I think that waS why it wasn't so long. Heres youer chand Norma woulxd you like to write a small story of your childhood memories, mentioning your friends and neighbours and what your daily life was like. See my post about the 1902 Diary.
