I found my water bill went down by half when i got one. The charges are based on the rateable value of the house so if your'e in a A based house with 4 children and the parents you'll pay more than a single peraon in a 3 bedroom house with a C rating. Saving water as you do also helps. Especially if you have a garden in the hot dry weather.
My neighbour had a meter husband wife 2 young children both in nappies she had to wash, her bill was a lot lower that mine,I cannot have a meter,they said it would be to hard to read,They worked out how much I use,
