When my Dad's ship arrived at Gladstone Graving Dock for a refit for service in the Pacific - The supply of ship's sausages were stolen

Many docker's families enjoyed sausages foir tea that night

One of the girl I worked with told me the docker would wrap a sheet of ribs around there bodies,to get them out of the docks, they arrived on a boat from ireland,
Way back in 1965 a lady came into the shop i worked,and asked did we sell sheets of ribs,the shop removed the ribs one by one,and the were throw away,
