Dont remember her name but as a 4 year old asked my Mum why the lady was wearing horse ridding pants, Mum told me is was going to work at Carter farm,

From the list I knew Eileen O'Day. She lived on Sterrix Lane near the convent and worked at Carter's Farm.
Married name was Wright and she eventually lived on Lowden Avenue.
A very nice lady indeed

Yes, she lived in Convent Cottage, Sterrix Lane.

I was in the process of adding her sister Kathleen's name to the Roll when I read your post

Eileen served in Lancashire, Cheshire and Flinstshire.

My Dad when working as a window cleaner knew the family he had a great singing voice and would sing as he cleaned windows,When he was at school the Nuns wanted him to have singing lessions but parents couldnt afford it,Charlie Tartt

Yes Ronnie she was working in crosby first looking after a little boy, then when his family found she could cook,As there cook,lived right by the beach or shore and we would say, moved back to litherland when they put Barb wire along the river,PS the little boys name was Richard Mum took us to see the lady,when she brought out a large box of chocolates thought we were in for a feast,one eachand put away remember sweets were on rashion then,
