Litherland has great drinking water, they get the water from Wales, while we in the south of wales get horrible hard water,I know liverpool must pay,my aunt lived outside Wigan when they came to Mum she would says let have a lovely cup on tea,Ronnie what the water like where you live
The water is excellent, Norma (We live on a giant sponge)
The whole village is in the process of having new water mains laid and new water pipes for each house, our street has been done.
The pressure is exceptional, great when I use my pressure washer on the car or water the garden with the hose.
I've worked on two reservoirs here, both very large lochs high up in the hills - Ardbeg distllery gets it water from one of them, some of guys lived in caravans when we were working on it.
The other reservoir I built a brick inspection chamber, I only wish I had taken photos. It was during Winter, very cold and bleak - I was glad when it was finished.
There was only me and my labourer working up there, sadly he just recently died.
years ago are water pressure was very bad ,Mac was working night, and trying to have a shower at 8 am wasnt good,I got the water board out to test the pressure, they fixed the problem, But 2 of my neighbor complained, funny story about them both smokers females would sit on the party wall chatting and smoking, seems they were sitting on top a gas leak,
