I missed this post Ronnie, but I am glad I scrolled down the page a little ways. What a company eh! they certainly looked after their employees in those days, imagine steam trains, and as you say... Blackpool all that way in a train, and only one hour. I enjoyed that one Ronnie. Hornby Boulevard has claimed the view for a long time now. Did the H B flats replace the match works...?

We from EM went there once a week for a game of rounders,once to watch the boys have a football match with Boys from a remand home,I remember being a little worried ,must be tough from a remade home,but they were fine,
