That would have been the Legend, Cyril Hume who lived in Lawler Street.

He kept on horse in the taylors field his dad would come him,we kids were fascinated by his liverpool accent,We all know people from my side of the bridge didnt have an accent,i remember a shaft being rotten he made anew one, the 2 parts the horse stood between,the last time i saw him in the parade he had a ladies fox fur on a dog lead,My gran had one as a child i would sit on her bed and stroke her Fox fur,to young to even think how it had died
