Think that could be Gerry McNeight the tall guy with the tie on and maybe his wife to the right of him.

The Town Hall always a great night out, along with St Philips on Linacre Rd met my wife there, there was a one armed trumpet player there with the band, again always a good night out. Cheers

Ronnie. That was an English Martyrs annual parish dance.. I went to them all but missed this one . I could still name lots of the folk there.

That's great, Marie - The only ones I can name are The chisrman of the counncil Lew Lloyd and his wife.

Mr Wolforth I would have been about 13or14 his wife was in hospital, he brought his dog to school everyday it world sit under my desk,

Didnt think there were that many people in Litherland,Went to one held by the British legion,My Dad stopped going to the legion,he was on some committee,and didnt like it when one member got a interest free loan, For his business,PS he once booked Ken Dodd for a Saturday night,he was worried when Ken arrived but the people loved him

There was an estimated 24,350 people living in Litherland in 1956, Norma.

The town hall was very popular for dance bookings and presentations from all over Liverpool - It boasted one of the best dance floors on Merseyside.

Must have been the other side of the bridge Finding out although I was born there didnt know many people,when I started work most of the people I knew where from Bootle and liverpool
