That was quite a lot to pay in 1901,think my grandparents would have been living at 91 sefton rd,8 children and only Dad working,but women did work hard in the home,no labour saving devices When I started work in 1954 wages £1 10shilling a week plus bonus,If your work was finshed you could go home and lose pay,or do a job filling in envelopes
