It's correct title now is Our Lady and the English Martyrs, since Our Lady Queen of Peace was taken over.

Any one remember the garage the was next to the church,the land must have belonged to church/school as the man had to move to Sefton rd when the school made larger,took over part of the alloments

Yes and there was a cottage behind it. I think the name was Harrison.

The presbytery to the left in the photo was added. Before that, the priests had a house in Oxford Ave, and perhaps one in Cambridge Ave also.

I remember when the priest would visit your home your home one priest had a bad back said he would get one of the priest to iron his back at the time we still had those heavy irons you heated on the gas oven at the time sounded like toucher to me
