my dad didnt like the livepool accent when i spoke about getting job over the lift bridge,he said no take the job in Crosby,i idid but most of the girls i worked with came from over the bridge,had a friend from Birkenhead,working in the coffee bar at butlin,people would say they could tell she came from liverpool,and as where i came from,when we came back after 2 year in hong kong noticed litheland people do have an accent,like a watered dowm one
