It’s a great story the cow keepers of Liverpool. Ellen Seddon of 87 Sefton Road married a Tommy Wharton and they ran a dairy called Rose Farm Dairy at 3 Brooke Road, Waterloo. The dairy had originally been owned and run by Thomas Wright. The Wright family had several farms in the area the 1800s and early 1900s. One of them was Wrights Pit Farm in Crosby. It was just down the road from the Crows Nest. Crosby duck pond is the farm’s duck pond, and the railings there today where originally part of the farm.
