In the report the housemaid's name is given as Nora Stevenson; her name at the inquest is Norah Mitchell.

The foundations of the house could still be seen in Bluebell Woods, Ford Lane, in 1958, when our family moved to Ford.

The story I was told was a maid and child had been murdered at the house by the master of the house, which was obviously wrong; the real events had somehow been distorted over time. becoming an 'urban myth'.
