I paid a nostalgic visit to Walker's Mission in 2003, attending the Sunday service.
After the service, I was shown around by a lovely lady, Mary Cotton (deceased).
I corresponded with her for a few years via email, and she sent me material from their archives about the Great War and Linacre Mission men who had served.
The brass plaques above the two doors are memorials to the Linacre Chums who fell; I took photos of them and have the list of names.
The place hadn't changed much from what I could recall from the 1950s; the Sunday School room looked much the same.
