Afraid to say that I do not recall the Hen and Chickens or the term BOWYANGS.
But do remember when our bins were emptied, every week, one of the guys was rather large , wore a leather jerkin, I think, and clogs on his feet. Bin, up on his shoulder, tipped and returned to the back of the house.
My, how things have changed. Put your own bin out or it will not emptied!!
