Loved both galas, much looked forward to especially as a teenager. Unfortunately, by that time the horses had mostly been replaced with open top wagons.
I was a morris dancer till about 12, but wanted to be in the jazz band.
The concertina band were great, we were happy to be near them. Still going I presume, haven't been the Beaky for a long time.
