If those men and women hadn’t risen to the challenge the whole world, not just Britain, would have been the darkest of places to live in for the last 80 years. Authoritarian regimes would be the norm.

Yes the guy is right that there is a lot wrong about the country today, but I would far rather my grandkids were growing up here than in most other countries. They are still enjoying all the freedoms that were earned by the sacrifices of two world wars.
