When the boys reached the age of 7 at Lander Road School they transferred to Beach Road.
My year of 1953 at Lander Road were the first boys not to tranfer to Beach Road, we joined Lander Road juniors, Jesse Gale was the headmistress.
We moved in to a brand new classromm of two built at the top near to Webnster Street.
I was looking forward to going to Beach Road School, as they did lots of good thngs at the school - Joe Lowe was the headmaster.
