The fabric sails of the mill used to be constructed in a house in Little Crosby. They had new ones each year. The house in question had a long room to accommodate this task. Outside of a window to the room is a worn stone which is believed to have been created by generations of children standing on tip toe to peer into the interior.
The house is a long white one on the side of the road that is adjacent to the Little Crosby Hall estate.
