Aye, back in the day, when life was so simple! The binmen used to go around the back of the house to get the bin from the bin place (we had a coal place as well!) Shoulder the bin, empty and bring it back!
I remember years ago, going to my aunties in Bristol, I was amazed at the huge variety of bins and boxes for everything! The thought of washing everything to recycle was a shock!
Little did i know, it would eventually happen here! 4 great big wheelie bins! Drives me nuts!
I actually wrote a poem about the Bristol bins which got published in the Bristol Evening Post!!!
