At the height of Liverpool docks popularity there were 20,000 of them transporting goods around the docks. They were the backbone of trade on the docks, and it's great to see them commemorated. It's been there for a good few years now but still popular.
I daren't think of the abuse they must have suffered at the hands of some carters.
Liverpool is worth a visit just for the street art. Some fantastic pieces.
