I second what Barbara said. I don't like the Eurovision much since Terry Wogan died. He and he alone made it a must watch in our family, but this year it was coming from Liverpool. What a fantastic show we put on and I applaud everybody involved from organisers, Arena staff, artists and all the young ones who turned up in the city centre to enjoy it. 160 million people around the world tuned in and saw our city give of it's best.

Unfortunately I didn't attend the Battle of the Atlantic 80th commemorations but I've been to all the others, the last big one being the 70th anniversary.

There are a few pieces around the city John but I too love the Johnny Walker one. I get angry when I see Battle of the Atlantic docs that fail to acknowledge how important Capt. Walker was to the Battle of the Atlantic and the sinking of U boats.
