Hi KaytI I went when I was 17 so that was in 1948, fist in Royal Mail to the Caribbean, and East. coast South America, then PSNC to the West coast through the Panama Canal that was till 53 when I went to the Medi with Ellermans, then got Wed Ann did a couple more trips. then there was a huge seaman’s strike, then it was down the pit at St Helen’s, cheers
