Edited by Ronnie on 5/1/2023, 12:04:32 You will know all this as you have the census records: William Henry Moxey was a show maker/boot repairer at 45 Bridge Road and hailed from Plymouth. The Electric Picture Palace building was the former Assemble Rooms used as an auction room (furniture), and for other events. It was acquired by William Allert in 1910, he formed the Electric Picture Palace Co. The manager was William James Moxon, who became the first manager of the Palladium, Seaforth for over 25 years. W. J. Moxon also lived on Bridge Road (109) at the same time as W. H. Moxey. I think there has been a mix-up in names with 'Moxey' - 'Moxon' 109 Bridge road is still standing. William James Moxon moved to 5 Lime Grove, Seaforth where he lived until his death in 1942. He is buried in Bootle Cemetery. 5 Lime Grove is still standing. Lime Grove is the road between the Palladium and the old Seaforth Police Station.
He lived in Prescot, Bootle, Walton, and Crosby before moving to Litherland.
