Good grief Jean, what a horrendous start to a superb-sounding festive break. I know that they still try for 24/36-hour ops on hip fractures if only to reduce the severe pain and discomfort for the patient-it's a long time to be laid up in agony.
I feel for your husband and also yourself Jean.
