I can think of 3 public loos in Litherland (not that I loitered about them)
Hatton Hill Park
Was there one in Springfield Park? I remember there was a Parkies (Mr. Egerty) building and shelter the same as Grant's Park on Hapsford Road.
The Parky at Grant's Park in the 1950s was Dick Mulholland, he was my great-aunt's partner. Their house backed onto the park, it was dead handy for me and my brother to go in for a drink and a jam butty
The Parky I recall at Hatton Hill was Mr. Woods, he lived in Four Acre Drive, Ford.
During WWI a soldier from Litherland Camp was charged with breaking open the money boxes on the toilet doors in the Sefton Street toilets - The fine he received cost him more than a 'Penny'
