I've said before, my Great Uncle Fred Liversedge worked in the office. It would be that door my Mum went in to see him, having travelled three days in wartime from Kent. Mum had been recalled from the ATS as her mother was ill. She had walked up from Seaforth Station carrying all her kit. She stopped to see her Uncle Fred in the office, only to be told that her mother had just passed away.
I can't begin to imagine how she must have felt leaving him to walk up to Litherland Park
