The choir was formed in 1963 by Norman Chambers, who was the founder and musical director.
They rehearsed at Wilson's Lane Methodist Church and were very popular on Merseyside giving their performances for free.
They sang at Crosby Library on many occasions and sang at a concert for the opening of the library in 1968.
They made 2/3 recordings and the choir's highlight in 1981 was performing at the Royal Albert Hall at a Festival of English Male Voice Choirs - They formed 1000 voice choir along with 20 other choirs from England conducted by Edmund Walters, choir-master of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir.
Norman Chambers retired in 1982 and was replaced by Alfred Williamson a member of the Liverpool Philharmonic Choir.
I think the EP of the choir I have dates from 1975?
