thats the part that's underreported on, imo. it simply can't be healthy to be in prolonged state of stress like these guys exist within. they wind themselves so tight and that's where a kind of ptsd sets in... and it becomes almost cyclical as guys like sassy becomes more and more easily triggered. if you went back to 10 years ago (or less), many of the opinions we hold now would have been shared by sassy. we haven't moved, but he has become "woke." it used to be a guy like sassy would have a life of his own. he'd watch some sports, have some friends, and kind of shuffle along in his own way, never really hurting anyone. but we've seen in the social media age how some who lack purpose and fellowship have made politics their sole focus and obsession. its very much an addiction for them- with the high being the validation of having a cause and companions in arms. atl was similarly radicalized. Its all they live for. They never "turn it off". I think that is a big reason why conservatives are generally more happy people, and have far lower suicide rates. We live more balanced lives. A conservative loves God, family, and sometimes their job. Other than perhaps hardcore libertarians, i don't know any conservatives whose life revolves around pursuing/promoting conservative causes 24/7. Its incredible to me how these people get worked up over anything. You saw it in the Kavanaugh trial, you see it with Trump everyday, you see it in lots of places.
