Take comfort in the fact that Wendy is eventually revealed to be a pretty awful person. I don't think the show really celebrates her character. She almost becomes a villain of sorts.

I liked Ruth at first but by the end of the third season, she was wearing on me. The accent and feistiness get old after a while.
