Serial number

I would like to get the serial number of the last L. C. Smith 410 made at Hunter Arms.
If this is something anyone can assist me with, it would be much appreciated.

Hi Lee,
From the Chronology of Guns accessed from the home page of this website, the latest .410 bore gun known to exist so far is #56065, finished on April 5, 1950.

The number above is under the forearm. If this is not the serial # please tell me where they may be. The barrels are also marked London Steel. Thats about all I can tell You about it accept its right heavy.

That SN and London Steel were used on pre-1913 No. 0 and post-1913 Skeet Special and Ideal grades.

Here is where the SNs are marked on post-1913 guns.
A 'R' prefix indicates a Regular frame
