Barrel Work

Can someone give me an idea of what I would be looking at to have barrels re-soldered and a rib re-laid (assuming there are no serious underlying problems)?

Doug I would think your best shot would be to call on the barrel refinishers, one I would recommend is Breck Gorman who has done some work for me and is excellent at his trade.

Thank you, I will try that. I was just hoping to have a general idea of what I was getting into before I got committed.

I suggest calling Bill Swartz in Ellijay, Ga. is 706-276-7668
Ask him to give you an estimate.
I just received a Linder Daly SBT back from him today and it was done right. ( no surprise there )
This makes about 6 guns he has done extensive work on for me and its without hesitations I recommend him.

Where are you located? I do traditional rust bluing on Fluid Steel and Damascus.

Hey Trevor;

I've got a Marlin made, Field grade that needs the top rib relayed and likely the barrels resoldered. Any idea of cost?
