Ejector types

I noted that the Earliest 2nd type ejector gun was shipped Nov. 27, 1895. I have a Quality 4E with 1st type ejectors, which shipped April 10, 1895. I am curious if this may be the latest surviving gun with the 1st type ejectors.

I also noted that there is no listing on our website for "Latest 1st Type Ejectors".

Either I'm confused or you are, I always thought the 2nd type ejectors came out in 1901 with the round style release versus the banjo type.

Based on my observations, I would suspect your assessment is correct Ken, and that a Type II ejector gun shipped in 1895 was retrofitted with the Type II system at a later date. I've owned an early A-1 retro-fitted by the Hunter Arms repair shop with the Type II system and have seen others. Steve, does your Type II iron have a patent date?

Tom, mine is Type 1. I thought it might be "latest" Type 1, based on the listing on the website for "earliest Type 2 later in the year mine was made. It does have the "clamshell" escutcheon.
