Wrecked 16 ha Barrel with top rib

Jent had a 1945 Marlin gun 16 ga barrel hanging in his basement. Just for grins, we tried it on my 16 and it fit perfectly! Unfortunately the top rib was not present. So if anyone got a (1945 plus) 16 ga top rib or wrecked barrels with a rib, leave a reply at your leisure. I 'd like to "Make a deal".

Hey Kimball .... GREETINGS!!
I acquired a MARLIN 12 ga. barrel (purchased from one of our friends) and it fit perfectly to one of my L C Smiths. I bought the SMITH from the REDDING AUCTION, north of Gettysburg. It had a sawed off barrel - expertly done - the receiver was in like new condition - couldn't pass it up. The MARLIN ventilated rib looks fantastic! Beautiful bluing. The trick was fitting the for end onto the two barrels. Did that!

My suggestion is to surf the web for a complete MARLIN barrel. You just might luck out. Take care. Roger

28” Important point. We learned it’s a 1935-1937 gun , so it’s pre Marlin barrel.

Turns out the barrels I need are Pre-Marlin. About 1935-1937 vintage.
