Hunter Arms " The Fulton"

Its not an LC Smith but there is way too much knowledge in the forum to pass up. I acquired this a few days ago and I am trying to find more information n it. If there is anyone who can help it would be appreciated. Its in 16ga . Thanks in advance

I believe your gun was made in 1919. Glad to see it has the original butt plate.
These box locks made by Hunter Arms were made very well and like yours many are still shootable. The barrels were steel not Damascus.
The chambers on the 16 gauges were all 2 9/16", and the shells are still available from RST.

Thank you. Your response is much appreciated. I had too many questions that I couldn't or can't find anywhere. Seemed as if there was plenty of knowledge in the forum. Again. Thank you. Still looking into this machined checkering on the rrciever. Always fun researching history. Even if it may be of lesser quality

Stippled receiver

In my records from 1919 to 1921 and possible longer I have "stippled" receiver in my notes for The Fulton box lock, not so uncommon.
Another feature is that these guns had floating or swinging sears.

The LCSCA has the manufacturing records for the Fulton shotguns, as well as for the Rangers and Hunter Special boxlock shotguns. I encourage you to order a research letter for your shotgun.
