The LCSmith connection to Ithaca guns.

I just acquired a very clean & early Ithaca hammergun. From reviewing the history of that company, I'm seeing a number of names associaed with the LC Smith Company, Leroy Smith (brother to Lyman C. Smith, George Baker (from Baker Guns?), and George Livermore (married to LC Smiths only daughter?). This 1901 double-thick Nitro Breech gun (w/32-inch Twist tubes) seems to also have the Alexander T Brown rotary-bolt that all the LC Smith guns made famous. Are there other connections between these two early New Youk State gun manufacturers?

A correction of my earlier post, that's William Henry Baker, not George.

In 1880 Leroy, W.H. Baker and Dwight McIntyre left Syracuse and went to Ithaca where they jointed up with George Livermore and in 1886 started the Ithaca Gun company. George was the Chairman of the Board. George lived to be 105 and up to the age of 100 still went to his office daily to check on progress.

Lloyd, in re-reading your post I missed something, George Livermore married Lyman Cornelius's older sister not daughter.
