W. H. Baker & Co. two barrel shotguns

Here are some pictures of the W. H. Baker & co. shotguns I have with a different forend release, another thing different between the two shotguns is one has a dolls head the other does not.
anyone have some that they want to share?

L. C. Smiths association with W. H. Baker starts in 1877 and these shotguns were made then and not before, why are they not relevant for this website?

Baker Patent guns are "related" historically. Syracuse Forging and Gun Co. and Baker Gun & Forging are not, and we recently had a post about a "New Baker" and have had posts regarding Baker Gun Co. Folsom guns.
We do have occasional questions regarding the Baker Patent guns to which Bro. David usually responds.

Possibly the BOD could decide if they would like to expand discussion here to include all the Baker guns, the Baker Patent guns, or only the L.C. Smith Maker guns. If so, we should probably let Daryl know. His site has little about the Smith Maker guns

Drew I thought that the period of 1877 (L. C. Smith involvement) thru marlin manufacture of the L. C. Smith shotgun was fair game here, if that's not the case what dates are start to finish?

From my records, L.C. Smith went to William Baker in 1877 to be with his brother Leroy to help with some of the finances and joined up with them as principal owner. The double barrel guns started at serial number 1600 and went to 9,999 and had L.C. Smith Maker of Baker Guns, Syracuse, N.Y. The lock plate had Baker's Pat'on the sides.
The early 3 barrel guns had no serial number and Daryl Halquist was going to get back to me on when Baker started putting serial numbers on 3 barrel guns. The earliest that I have is 155 a No.1 12x12x44-40. The earliest Smith Baker double is 1601 B grade 12 gauge.
So if my research is correct, Ken's two guns were made my William Baker and Co. Lyle, N.Y.

To me, the later Baker guns are different, at this time it is when Baker left Ithaca after 1883 and returned and his brother joined him to make the Baker gun.
