Shipping Box

Recently became the caretaker of an interesting piece of LC Smith memorabilia. An original Hunter Arms cardboard shipping box and sleeve. Not for sale, just thought some would like to see it. Can’t imagine many of these survived.

That SN should be 1912, prior to the New Designs introduction, but apparently is not in the records

Drew, if it were a specialty grade wouldn’t it be post 1913?

If it is 1912 that could be one of the first SN specialty grades in existence?

Dr. Jim has 205 Specialty Grades produced in 1912 Trevor. The earliest Speciality ad I've seen is February 1913.

Odd that the SN is not recorded.

Hunter Arms made varying numbers of all named grades in 1912. Serial number 215598 was probably made near the end of 1912 but wasn't the first one made. Hopefully one of our members chimes in here to let us know that this gun still exists
