Anyone recognize the LC Smith shooter?

This picture hangs in the clubhouse at the WPAFB Rod and Gun Club, Fairborn, Ohio. I never paid any attention to it until recently. The shooter on the left is holding an LC Smith gun. Does anyone have any idea as to his identity? I've looked in books about the Grand American history but didn't see this photo.

The forend escutcheon does'nt look like anything
I have seen on an L C Smith; is it an early example?

The forend release looks more like that of a Model 21 Winchester to me? The interesting thing is weird sight device attached to the other shooter's gun.

Tom, that weird sight device is for left eye dominant shooters who still want to shoulder their gun on the right, but not use a cross over stock (similar to the Carey Side-Sighter). You don't see too many of those around.
And I agree, the gun on the left appears to be a Winchester Model 21.

Thanks. Stephen is correct on left eyed shooter. I wasn't sure if the gun was a Smith or Model 21. I'll go with Model 21

Hi Larry. I have a modest supply of Holland & Holland Royal Game 16 gauge shells for which I have little to no use. The boxes are marked 16 calibre, 6 shot, 15/16 0z (26.5 gms), 2 1/2" (67 mm), fibre wad. I believe the 6 size shot is the British equivalent to our #7 shot. Too large for clays, woodcock, doves etc, but should work well for preserve pheasants. I'll leave four boxes for you at WPAFB Club with Dale. No charge because you're such a good guy.

The gentleman with the 'side sighter' may be a much older H.D. Cadwallader, with an Ithaca SBT.
This was in Outdoor Life in February 1917

I just returned from another Guatemala mission trip last night and can barely compose a coherent message but will work on the other gent
