LC discharges with breech closure

Got an old LC 12 in apparent good shape. However, sometimes one barrel fires on closure of the breech, even with the safety on. Need a good LC gunsmith in the Norfolk, Virginia region. Thanks!

I had one that did that as well. It's usually associated with a stock-cracking problem but... hopefully yours is something simpler to fix.

It sounds to me like your trigger plate is touching the sear on that side. I would try backing off the screw under the top lever one full turn. This screw is tapered like the top tang and the screw head slot is "timed" to the gun so it has to be one full turn. If not timed now, back it off until it is timed and try it again.
This is the easiest try, it could be others.

Sounds like I need a good gunsmith knowledgeable in LC Smith guns. Any reccomendations in the Virginia or mid-Atlantic region?
